Fragments of Duration, 1 Day, reveal on their surfaces a negative pattern of foliage. Aoun placed a silicone sheet on the floor outside her studio in the mountains in Leba-non, and has kept it for a day at a time letting the pine needles from the surrounding trees fall onto its surface. Aoun would then press paper pulp onto the surface, creating an imprint marking the accumulation of foliage specific to the duration. The final result looks like fossils, suggesting a time where paper will become obsolete, and referring to the cyclical characteristics of nature, which is also continuously under threat.
